We have a new mission plan this year so you and Marvin Keller as a whole can be even more successful. This year, we’re focused on expanding our fleet!
What is our mission?
Mission 2022 “To the Moon”
Our focus is on recruiting! The main goal is to add more drivers to our team. We will achieve this by implementing new recruiting techniques.
Goal: expand our fleet to 140 drivers and above
How can we achieve our goal and reach the Moon?
We want to reach our goal to the moon and there are many ways we accomplish this! At MK we’re beginning to implement different techniques to recruit drivers, such as better advertising, updating our website, and so on. Furthermore, there are ways you can help MK reach its goal too.
You can refer drivers to Marvin Keller! Not only will you be helping MK reach its goal to the moon, but you will also receive a cash bonus for your referral. What an easy way to earn some extra cash! Contact your DM if you have a referral.
Any referrals will help with expanding our fleet and reaching our mission to the moon!
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Darlene DeVore. Darlene passed away on February 1, 2022. She was a valued member of our team from 04/04/2005 – 08/31/2018 when she retired. Darlene was a hard worker and she will be missed by many.

Did you know that there are numerous ways you can earn Pro-Points? We want to make sure you’re aware of how to earn more points so you can be recognized for your outstanding performance, strive for the most points, and in the end be successful!
Below are some of the different ways you can earn Pro-Points:
- Interacting within the app: Simply use and engage within the app. For instance, drivers are awarded 50 Pro-Points for sharing their knowledge by adding a note to a Shipper or Receiver.
- Earning badges: Within the Drive MK App, there are many badges that we award Pro-Points for. The highest earning badge is the Work Streak Badge; keep a work streak and you can earn up to 5,000 Pro-Points!
- BlueTree Scorecard: You can earn 1,000 Pro-Points for each green score in Safety, Compliance, Performance, and MK Elite (green in all three categories). Meaning you can get up to 4,000 Pro-Points!
- Outstanding Performance: DMs award Pro-Points to recognize their driver’s extraordinary performance.
Where can I find my Pro-Point Balance?
Open the Drive MK App and follow the steps below:
- Click the ^ icon at the bottom right
- Click on “profile”
- You should be able to see your Pro-Point balance under your name
- If you click on your balance, you will be able to see your lifetime balance, how many points you’ve spent, and how many are available.
What can I spend my Pro-Points on?
Did you know you’re able to spend your points on any item at any time? You can exchange your Pro-Points for a variety of things, such as gift cards, tools, TVs, or even cash in your points on your weekly settlement! In addition, you can send us a link from Amazon with a specific item and we will get it ordered as soon as we can. Check out the drivers below on how they spent their Pro-Points!

Fuel Locations
What fuel station do you usually fill up at? TA? Pilot? Road Ranger? But did you know that Love’s is Marvin Keller’s preferred fuel stop? Among their 560 locations in 41 states, Love’s gives us the best fuel discounts.
If Love’s isn’t practical within your specific area/route, TA’s and Petro’s locations are a great second choice. However, with Pilot’s, Flying J’s, and other out of network locations, there are some constraints, such as; Company Drivers are limited to 50 gallons of fuel.
In this regard, we wanted to remind you on MK’s preferred fuel locations and put it in a document form to help you along your way. This will also be placed in the Resource Library so you can go back to this document anytime!

Moving Forward Together
Over the past few weeks, MK has had some stellar weekly performances. We have had record-breaking weekly gross margins and some of the lowest percentages of broker freight. To add to the hype, the entire fleet has been on a steady incline since this time last year. Things are on the upswing here at MK and we couldn’t do this without all of you.
What factors are behind the increased performance? Is the performance spike due to a strongly knit customer base or a hardworking, dedicated fleet? The answer should come as no surprise; it’s both!
With the recent announcement of the Mars PetCare return accompanied by the increase of load offers across the board, we have more than enough freight to go around. In fact, we are in a great position to be selective with our freight that caters to our fleet. We are motivated to benefit from the increased offers from our network.
How can you help? This is where we see the benefit of having such a strong, dedicated fleet working with us. One way you can help us is by keeping us in the know with your availability and schedules. Communicating changes in ETAs and delays is also exceptionally helpful in keeping our fleet running smoothly. As Henry Ford said, “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.” Keeping us informed is the power that keeps us moving forward.
What are other ways you can think of to help keep your driver manager informed?
An announcement was shared from our customer, Nestle, reminding us of the 100 mile yard sale that stretches along highway 25 from Jackson, MO to Kennett, MO this weekend. The yard sale started on Tuesday, May 27th and will last through Monday, May 31st. This event is expected to bring in a large crowd and additional traffic to the area. Drivers who will be arriving to Nestle in Bloomfield, MO or Sikeston, MO should practice additional caution and be mindful of the increased foot traffic along this route. An increased following distance should also be implemented to prepare for more frequent sudden stops.
The Bloomfield and Sikeston plants will be running normal shipping hours during this holiday weekend. Bloomfield’s drop lot will be available to all drivers 24/7.
Expected Facility Closures
The following customers will be closed on Monday, May 31st for Memorial Day.
- Rural King in Mattoon, IL
- Sherwin Williams in Effingham, IL
- Stratas in Decatur, IL
- Drivers will be able to drop empties and hook preloads but no loading or reworks will be available at the Stratas plant
- Graphic Packaging in Shelbyville, IL
- Drivers will have access to pick up their preloads. A skeleton crew will be working to print paperwork.

Truck Driver Parking is not always easy to find but is a very important part of a Driver’s day. We have all struggled to find parking in one state or another. Some of us have even had to shut down early to avoid going over on hours just to find a good place to park. MK has a plan to help our drivers find all the best places to park!
On Tuesdays, we are going to post a region where parking may be limited. All you have to do is submit a post through DriveMK adding your favorite parking spot in that area. All drivers who contribute a parking spot for that area will be given an additional 200 pro points! Bonus points if you mention what lane you used this parking spot for.
Today’s areas are Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD.
