As cold weather approaches, we want to make sure you are taking the necessary safety precautions and are equipped with some winter weather essentials. While on the road and as the weather changes, do not hesitate to shut down if you need to make that call. No load is worth putting yourself in harm’s way. Stay safe and warm!
Winter Weather Essentials Continued:
Heavy duty jumper cables
Tire chains or traction mats
Have at least a half tank of gas at all times during the winter
Even though they say Washer Fluid wont freeze it can still freeze in the tubes by the wipers. Adding a bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol to your washer fluid can prevent this from happening
Most importantly, if you don’t feel safe or the conditions are changing rapidly please pull off at your next safe place to park.

What fuel station do you usually fill up at? TA? Pilot? Road Ranger? But did you know that Love’s is Marvin Keller’s preferred fuel stop? Among their 560 locations in 41 states, Love’s gives us the best fuel discounts.
If Love’s isn’t practical within your specific area/route, TA’s and Petro’s locations are a great second choice. However, with Pilot’s, Flying J’s, and other out of network locations, there are some constraints, such as; Company Drivers are limited to 50 gallons of fuel.
In this regard, we wanted to remind you on MK’s preferred fuel locations and put it in a document form to help you along your way. This will also be placed in the Resource Library so you can go back to this document anytime!
Hello everyone! We’re pleased to announce Tommy Schibur, our newest addition to our Operations Team!
“Hello, my name is Tommy Schibur and I just started at Marvin Keller this week! I will mainly be assisting Nick and Claire with Driver managing and dispatching. I was very happy to meet a lot of new faces at the driver appreciation event, and look forward to meeting more of the drivers that I will be working with! Outside of work I’m a huge sports fan, and try to get to as many games as possible. I really enjoy golfing on the weekends, as well as spending time with family and friends”
If you weren’t able to make it to MK’s Driver Appreciation Luau Party last weekend, here’s what you missed!
This video highlights some of the advancements we’ve made within the past couple of years and goes into the different aspects as to why Marvin Keller is the best! Click the image below to check it out!
To prevent potential DOT violations, here are some step by step instructions on how to send your duty logs from BlueTree:
In HOS top left, press the 3 lines and select DOT Roadside Inspection
Click Transfer Logs > Click Email Transfer
There will be a pre-programed email and is what the mandate requires
The officer should then provide a routing code in the comment section.
Click transfer to send
If an officer requests you to send your duty logs to them directly, here are some steps to help (It’s not in the DOT Roadside Inspection screen like you might expect):
In HOS, click the menu from the left with the 3 lines > Select Duty logs – Graph
Press the 3 dots on the top right > Select “Email Logs”
The dates default to 8 days back but can be modified if needed.
Enter Officer’s email address.
Below are two files including these two different methods on sending your duty logs. They will be placed in the Resource Library under the tag “Driver.” That away you can always go back to it in case you might need it.
